1. Independence
Our editorial verdicts are decided by our editors and reviewers, not by advertisers, affiliate partners, sponsors, or vendors. No commercial relationship gives anyone the right to alter, delay, or block a story, review, or recommendation. If a vendor asks us to change coverage in exchange for advertising, coaching, or partnership, we decline.
2. Honesty about money
We disclose every material commercial relationship on the page it affects: affiliate links, sponsored content, paid coaching, promoted tools, and vendor-supplied review units. See our Editorial Policy and Disclaimer for the specifics.
3. Truth and accuracy
We do not manufacture false precision, fake reviews, fake benchmarks, or fabricated testimonials. Salaries, statistics, and interview questions are traced to primary sources under our Fact Checking Policy. When we get something wrong, we fix it and mark it under our Corrections Policy.
4. Respect for the community
The QA Hangar community operates on mutual respect. We do not tolerate harassment, discrimination, doxxing, or targeted attacks on race, religion, gender, sexuality, caste, nationality, ability, or age. Recruiter spam, unpaid gig solicitations disguised as opportunities, and pyramid-scheme “referral” bait are removed on sight.
5. Anonymity where it protects the vulnerable
Company Pulse reviews, salary submissions, and hiring-loop reports are anonymised at the storage layer. We never expose the identity of a reviewer to the company or public. See our Privacy Policy for the technical detail.
6. Hiring integrity
Jobs Radar aggregates listings from public ATS feeds. We do not sell candidates, resell personal data, or accept payment to prioritise a specific employer above genuine editorial fit for the reader. Employer sponsorships, when they exist, are labelled as such and never override the ranking of relevant free listings.
7. AI use
We use AI to draft, edit, and translate content, and to power tools like the AI Mock Interview coach and ATS resume review. AI-assisted articles are always reviewed and rewritten by a human QA professional before publishing. We do not publish raw AI output as reporting, and we do not attribute AI output to a human author.
8. Conflicts of interest
Our editors and reviewers disclose any personal financial stake, employment relationship, or consulting arrangement with a vendor they are asked to cover. Where a conflict exists, the story is reassigned or, if that is not possible, a prominent disclosure is added.
9. Data minimalism
We collect the smallest amount of personal data required to operate the product. We do not sell personal data. We do not share resumes, mock-interview transcripts, or private messages with third parties beyond the strictly-necessary infrastructure providers listed in our Privacy Policy.
10. Reporting a violation
If you believe SoftwareTestPilot, one of our editors, or a community member has violated this Code of Ethics, please report it privately to ethics@softwaretestpilot.com or via the contact page. Reports are reviewed by the founder and, where appropriate, an independent reviewer. We do not retaliate against good-faith reporters.
Verdicts belong to editors, not advertisers.
Every commercial relationship is disclosed on the page it affects.
We would rather publish nothing than publish something false.
Zero tolerance for harassment, doxxing or discrimination.
Reviewer identity never leaves our database.
Personal data is never sold, ever.
