Community Guidelines
The SoftwareTestPilot QA Community is a professional space for software testers. These guidelines apply to posts, comments, questions, answers and profiles.
Our principles
- Be useful
- Be respectful
- Share practical experience
- No spam
- No fake job posts
- No aggressive self-promotion
- No harassment
1. Keep it useful for testers
Share real testing experience, tools, code, questions and career insight. Give enough context that another QA professional can act on it.
2. Be professional and respectful
Disagree with the approach, never the person. Harassment, personal attacks, discrimination and abusive language are not allowed.
3. No spam or self-promotion dumps
Repeated promotional posts, referral link spam, affiliate dumps and unsolicited sales pitches will be removed.
4. Be accurate
Do not post misleading claims about tools, salaries, certifications or job offers. Cite sources where it matters.
5. Respect confidentiality
Never post client data, production credentials, internal test data, or screenshots containing personal or company-confidential information.
6. Keep content appropriate
No sexual, violent, hateful or otherwise inappropriate content. This is a professional workplace community.
7. Own your content
Post your own work, or credit the source. Do not copy articles, courses or paid material without permission.
Reporting and blocking
Use the three-dot menu on any post, comment, question, answer or profile to report it. Choose a reason — spam, harassment, inappropriate content, misleading content or other — and add context if it helps. Reports are private and reviewed by our moderators.
You can also block a member from their profile. Blocked members disappear from your feed, comments, questions, answers and people suggestions, and you disappear from theirs. Block lists are never shown publicly.
