Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legal agreement between you and SoftwareTestPilot ("we", "us", "our") and govern your access to and use of softwaretestpilot.com, our tools, communities, content, newsletters, and digital products (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or by using any part of the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Disclaimer. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU) to use the Service. By using it, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
2. Your account
You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@softwaretestpilot.comof any unauthorised access. We may suspend or close accounts that show signs of compromise, abuse, or violation of these Terms.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, copy, mirror, or redistribute the Service or any content on it without our prior written permission.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with our AI systems, rate limits, anti-abuse mechanisms, or paywalls.
- Use the Service to send spam, phishing, or any unsolicited commercial messages to other users, including via QA Network or messaging.
- Post content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, discriminatory, sexually explicit, violent, or that infringes a third party's rights.
- Upload malware, exploit vulnerabilities, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system.
- Use the Service in a way that violates export controls, sanctions, or other applicable law.
- Misrepresent your identity, professional history, or affiliation.
4. User content and licence
You retain ownership of resumes, posts, comments, referrals, and other content you submit ("User Content"). By submitting User Content you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, adapt (for formatting and translation), and distribute it on the Service for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service. You can revoke this licence by deleting your User Content, except where it has been used by another user in good faith (for example a quoted answer or a public discussion archive).
You confirm you have all rights necessary to grant this licence. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of any User Content you submit.
5. AI features
The Service uses third-party large language models to power features such as ATS Review, AI Mock Interview, AI QA Career Coach, and content suggestions. AI outputs may contain inaccuracies and must not be relied on as legal, medical, financial, employment, or career advice. You are responsible for reviewing every AI output before acting on it. Do not paste secrets, personally-identifying information of third parties, or confidential employer information into AI tools.
6. Job listings and third-party content
Job listings are aggregated from public sources and presented for convenience. We do not guarantee their accuracy, availability, salary range, or that any employer will respond. Applications are submitted on third-party employer sites — their terms and privacy policies apply. We are not the recruiter or employer for any role on jobs-radar.
7. Paid digital products
Digital products (ebooks, interview kits, course bundles) are sold through Razorpay. Prices are shown at checkout and include applicable taxes where required. Payment is processed by Razorpay under their terms.
Delivery: on successful payment we send a download link by email and to your dashboard within a few minutes. If you do not receive it within 24 hours, email support@softwaretestpilot.com.
Refunds: because digital products are delivered immediately and cannot be returned, all sales are final once the file has been downloaded. If a product was not delivered, was materially different from its description, or was downloaded by mistake before access, contact us within 7 days for a full refund. EU/UK consumers may have a statutory 14-day withdrawal right which they expressly waive when they download the product before the period expires; we will display this waiver at checkout.
8. Free features and beta
We may add, change, restrict, or remove features at any time. Beta features are provided "as is" and may be unstable. We may discontinue any free tier with reasonable notice.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including our trademarks, logos, written content, tutorials, interview Q&A, editorial frameworks, and software, is owned by SoftwareTestPilot and protected by intellectual property law. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership to you. You may quote short excerpts of our articles for non-commercial purposes with attribution and a link back to the original page.
10. Copyright and DMCA
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice including your contact details, the work claimed, the URL of the allegedly infringing content, and a good-faith statement to dmca@softwaretestpilot.com. Repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated.
11. Advertising and sponsored content
We may display ads (including Google AdSense) and may publish sponsored content. Sponsored content is always clearly labelled and follows our Editorial Policy and Methodology. Sponsors do not control editorial verdicts.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components, or that any AI output, job match, or interview answer is accurate or appropriate for your situation.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoftwareTestPilot, its owners, and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD 100.
14. Indemnity
You will indemnify and hold harmless SoftwareTestPilot from any claim, liability, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your User Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.
15. Termination
You may close your account at any time from your profile settings. We may suspend or terminate access — with or without notice — for a breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, security risk, or legal requirement. Provisions that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will survive termination.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Courts located in Pune, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the EU/UK, you may also rely on mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on the Service and, for registered users, notified by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
