1. What an affiliate link is
An affiliate link is a URL that includes a tracking tag identifying SoftwareTestPilot as the referrer. If you click one and buy the product within the merchant's cookie window, the merchant pays us a small commission. The price you pay is identical whether you use the affiliate link or a direct link.
2. How affiliate links are labelled
- Article-level notice at the top of any post that contains affiliate links.
- Inline tag next to the link where practical (e.g. “affiliate” superscript).
rel="sponsored nofollow noopener"on the HTML anchor, per Google's guidance.
3. Programs we participate in
The list below is refreshed whenever a program is added or removed.
| Program | What we may recommend | Where it appears |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon Associates | QA books, keyboards, monitors | Book recommendations, career posts |
| Udemy Affiliate | Selenium, Playwright, ISTQB courses | Course round-ups, learning paths |
| Coursera Affiliate | University-backed testing courses | Course guides, certification posts |
| Test Automation University / Applitools | Free automation courses | Beginner tracks (no commission — attribution only) |
| BrowserStack Partner Program | Cross-browser / device cloud | Playwright, Selenium, mobile guides |
| LambdaTest Partner Program | Cloud grid, HyperExecute | CI & cross-browser guides |
We do not participate in networks that require exclusive positive coverage, minimum score commitments, or content approval by the merchant.
4. What affiliate income never buys
- A better score in a Review or Comparison.
- Removal or softening of cons, criticisms, or negative benchmarks.
- Placement above genuinely better free or open-source alternatives.
- Any change to interview questions, salary data, or job listings.
5. FTC & global compliance
This disclosure is designed to satisfy the U.S. FTC 16 CFR Part 255 Endorsement Guides, the UK CAP Code, the EU Digital Services Act's platform transparency rules, and India's Consumer Protection (E-commerce) Rules. If your jurisdiction requires additional labelling that we've missed, tell us at editorial@softwaretestpilot.com and we'll fix it.
6. Sponsored content vs affiliate links
Affiliate links are recommendations we made independently that also earn a commission. Sponsored content is content a partner paid us to publish. Sponsored content is labelled “Sponsored” at the top of the article and is subject to our Editorial Policy. We do not mix the two on the same page.

Commissions fund the free tools and articles.
You never pay a cent more via an affiliate link.
Article-level notice + inline tag + rel=sponsored.
Commission never changes the score.

We refuse networks that require pre-approval.
