Position Title: Sr Quality Assurance Engineer We are looking to hire dedicated software engineers with passion towards solving tough and challenging problems for our customers. You’ll be part of the Digital Engineering team that is responsible for building real time and distributed software solutions. The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer is in an unique position to help transform the way people and freight are moved around the world. Location Bangalore, India You will work on innovative railroad automation products - TripOptimizer® and Locotrol® XA and rail yard monitoring product - MyRailYard. You will ensure that flawless, performant and secure products and solutions are delivered to our customers. You will implement efficient and automated test methods for timely delivery of products. You have the opportunity to learn about railroad domain, and about how large railroad companies of the world manage the operations of freight trains Essential Responsibilities

• Provides expertise in the quality engineering, test planning, understanding requirements and building test cases and testing methodology for a software project. 80% Manual test process and 20% test automation work.
• Works with fellow team members to diagnose bugs and formulate solutions. Demonstrates the ability to understand, debug and contribute to code base.
• Makes technology choices at individual level and has ability to analyze impact.
• Executes maintainable automation tests for acceptance, functional, and regression test cases.
• Applies principles of SDLC and methodologies like Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques.
• Expert in core data structures and algorithms. Integrates project testing with continuous integration process.
• Demonstrates the ability to drive team change for the betterment of the product quality.
• Provide mentorship to junior level engineers and help them grow to the next level. Qualifications/Requirements
• BE/BTech/MTech in ECE /Computer Science /EEE /IT or MCA.
• 6-9 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance domain.
• Knowledge of QA methodology and industry-standard testing and bug tracking tools
• Expert in developing test strategies, test plans and test cases.
• Experienced in driving quality through process, instrumentation, requirements and testing.
• Experience in testing applications built in Java and related technologies and web frameworks such as Angular and HTML.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD to support continuous deployment process ( preferably with Gitlab ).
• Experience in working within an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Experience in working in Linux/Unix and Windows environments.
• Experience in working with relational databases like Oracle , Postgres and SQL.
• Good to have experience in test automation using Python/Selenium.
• Expert in communicating cross-functionally and across management levels in formal and informal settings. Desired Characteristics Business Acumen:
