We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Tester to support a Federal Government program in Ashburn, VA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of mission-critical applications through a combination of manual and automated testing. This role requires hands-on experience with automation frameworks, test execution, defect management, and collaboration within Agile development teams. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web-based and enterprise applications.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing activities.
- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test data.
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar technologies.
- Identify, document, track, and validate defects through resolution.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure application quality.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Support CI/CD processes by integrating automated testing into deployment pipelines.
- Analyze test results and provide recommendations for quality improvements.
- Ensure compliance with Federal security and quality standards. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of software quality assurance and testing experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on automation testing experience.
- Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, UFT, or similar.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test planning, and defect management.
- Experience testing RESTful APIs and web services.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Active CBP Clearance or Active Top Secret Clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship required. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting U.S. Federal Government agencies.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with cloud environments including AWS or Azure.
- Familiarity with performance and security testing methodologies.
