Jr. Software Tester

As a Junior Software Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of web and mobile applications developed using JavaScript frameworks and Laravel. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing and executing test cases, scenarios, and scripts based on project requirements. - Performing functional, integration, regression, and unit testing for applications. - Assisting in developing and maintaining automated test scripts using tools like Jest, Cypress, PHPUnit, Selenium, etc. - Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects using bug-tracking tools such as JIRA, Trello, or GitHub Issues. - Verifying bug fixes and conducting regression testing to ensure application stability. - Collaborating with developers, designers, and product teams to enhance software quality. - Conducting cross-browser and cross-device testing for compatibility and responsiveness. - Participating in Agile/Scrum meetings and contributing to quality assurance processes. - Supporting CI/CD testing activities and deployment validations. Qualifications required for this role: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. - Approximately 1 year of experience in software testing or quality assurance. - Basic knowledge of software testing concepts, SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies. - Familiarity with JavaScript testing frameworks like Jest, Cypress, Mocha, or Jasmine. - Basic understanding of Laravel testing using PHPUnit. - Knowledge of version control systems such as Git. - Familiarity with bug tracking and project management tools. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Preferred skills that would be beneficial for this role include experience with API testing tools like Postman, knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI, understanding of database testing using MySQL or similar databases, exposure to browser automation tools like Playwright or Selenium, and experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
